As the Lunar eclipse is going to happen on Saturday 28th October 2023 on Full moon (pournami) day, it is informed that following temples in Trichy remain close.
1. Samayapuram Mariamman Temple
2. Srirangam Aranganathar Temple
3. Thiruvanaikovil jambukeswarar temple
1. SAMAYAPURAM
Samyapuram temple will close at 6 pm. on Saturday 28-OCT.
Next day Sunday 29 OCTOBER 2023 the temple will open at 05:30 am as usual.
2. Srirangam
All shrines of the temple will be closed at 5.30 pm on Saturday 28-OCT.
It has been informed that the next day Sunday (Oct 29) at 6 in the morning the temple will be opened and darshan will be held.
A sub-temple of the Srirangam ,Singaperumal temple, will also be closed after 5.30 pm.
3. Thiruvanaikovil
Thiruvanaikka Akilandeswari temple will be closed on on Saturday evening after Sayaratsai and Artha Jamam (சாயரட்சை, à®…ா்த்த ஜாமம்) at 7 pm.
The next morning, at 5.30 am, Samroshan (சம்à®°ோஷண ) Pujas will be performed and open to public
