The ministry of skill development and employment will conduct the Pradhan Mantri Apprenticeship mela at the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Trichy on September 11.
Apart from ITI holders who passed out of the institutes between 2021 and 2023, candidates of both genders who have passed or failed in Class VIII, X, or XII can apply.
The district skill development centre said participants would be informed about 200 apprenticeship opportunities in MSMEs in the district. Only those who have not availed of any apprenticeship opportunities before will be eligible to participate in the camp. A stipend of 7000 to 12,000 per month will be provided for the successful candidates, and certificates from the Union government will be provided too.
