Automatic Signal with Camera in Trichy

 



An automatic signal with surveillance cameras has been started at the Sanjeevi Nagar junction on the Trichy-Chennai National Highway to ensure smooth movement of vehicles.

Among the 31 places where accidents are found to occur frequently in Trichy,

Trichy-Chennai National Sanjeevi Nagar junction before Cauvery Bridge on the highway is one. Automatic signals have already been installed at 10 places and are operational.

In that way, the Municipal Police Commissionerate had decided to set up signals to ease the traffic in the Sanjeevi Nagar area as well.

An automatic traffic signal with features including 2 high-end modern automatic cameras, 6 surveillance cameras, and a loudspeaker has been set up to detect vehicle number plates in case of accidents and its inauguration was held yesterday.

City Police Commissioner M. Sathyapriya participated and launched the signal for public use.

Following the event, the Commissioner of Police gave water and buttermilk to encourage the people who came on the two-wheelers wearing helmets.

Water and buttermilk were also provided to the traffic police who were working in the hot sun.
