Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) scheme at National Institute of Technology Trichy

 NIT-T among 'skill hubs' to train school-college students Chosen As Part Of nodal skill Centre to provide development and vocational training opportunities to the target population segments.

The Union government has identified National Institute of Technology Trichy as one of the skill hubs under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana PMKVY) scheme to provide skill training to youths including school and college students and dropouts in and around Trichy

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has fixed certain guidelines with regard to the minimum qualification for candidates based on skill training. Based on that we will impart skill training to the students.

Orientation classes and industry visits will be provided for class VI to VIII students. Class IX to XII students will be exposed to skill development avenues. In the case of school dropouts, the programme will help them to get back to mainstream education or provide apprenticeship and employment linkage.
